Sunday School (During Covid-19 many of these offerings have changed)
Nursery
A class is offered for children under the age of 3. Children attend worship with the pre-school class then have a supervised playtime in the Nursery. |
Pre-School
Children learn simple Bible stories and songs in a nurturing environment. Crafts and activities are done to reinforce concepts, and a playtime with their peers is provided. |
Elementary
Kindergarten through fifth grade students participate in the Whirl Curriculum which focuses on bible passages studied in worship that day. Children learn each story through workshops like storytelling, crafts, science, cooking, computers, games, etc. Coffee Break
Early for church? Stop into the fellowship hall for a cup of coffee and some fellowship with others as we gather for Sunday morning worship. Coffee will be ready weekly at 9:15am. |
Multi-Generational Gatherings
We are planning monthly gatherings for us to come together during the 9:15 am Sunday School hour as a whole congregation to share breakfast food and dig deeper into key Lutheran doctrine. Throughout the year each month, we’ll focus on an ELCA social statements, learning about what each means with planned activities, games, crafts, and fun for everyone of all ages. The first 5 to 10 minutes will intentionally be geared toward our youngest members. |
Confirmation
Sixth through and Ninth grade students prepare to be confirmed members of the church. They continue their learning about Lutheranism through study of Luther’s Small Catechism. The Curriculum is a blended version of Reformed & Colaborate from Spark House publishing. Youth get hands on experience at being adult members of the church through volunteering, leading worship, and teaching. Confirmation for the Congregation Confirmation age youth, their parents, and all others in high school and older are invited to gather in the fellowship hall at 9:15am once a month for continued and more in-depth discussion on the monthly multi-generational topics, as well as current events as related to our faith lives, and other key understandings of our Lutheran doctrine. This is a chance for more informal learning and conversation as well as a bit of fellowship. |
