Abbottstown / East Berlin Food Pantry
We collect and donate food to our local food pantry, plus several of our members volunteer each month. In partnership with New Hope Ministries the Mobile Food Pantry comes to Trinity Lutheran Church in East Berlin on the First Wednesday of the month from 4-6pm, and to St. John's on the following Thursday from 3-5pm to help those in need. Approximately 250 individuals are served between the two locations. |
God's Work, Our Hands Sunday!
On September 11th we kicked off our Sunday School program
with fellowship, breakfast and drinks.
A time of service followed as we put our hands and feet to work serving the Lord.
We assembled CWS Emergency Cleanup Buckets and LWR Personal Care Kits.

Ruth’s Harvest is a Backpack Food Ministry serving our community.
St. John’s Lutheran Church collects food for Bermudian Springs Elementary.
We are Collecting the Following:
PUDDING CUPS, GOLDFISH CRACKERS, and CHEF BOYARDEE SINGLE SERVE BEEFARONI and LASAGNA CUPS
Food donations need to be individual servings and individually wrapped (please remember to purchase peanut-free products)
and place your items into the appropriately marked bins on the stage of the Fellowship Hall.
Have time to help pack food? We can use volunteers beginning at 12:45pm on the following days:

Community Meal Ministry (PAL)
St. John’s prepares a meal ever sixth Friday from 9am-noon at the Hanover Area Council of Churches, Carlisle Street, Hanover. At each meal we serve approximately 100 people who are in need at no cost to them. If you would be able to volunteer, contact the church office. Our remaining 2022 date to serve is: December 30. |
