How Do I Become A Member?

New Member Classes
New member classes convene once a year, during the Fall months. Prospective members are invited to attend two sessions and two Rites of Welcome which will take place in worship.

• Session 1: Meet the pastor and a member of our church staff and get to know St. John’s! This is a session that allows you to have some time with the pastors, get to know the history of St. John’s and find out how we strive to serve our community, in Jesus’ name.
• Rite 1. Sponsors will share a Rite with their perspective new member in front of the congregation and the new member will receive a Bible from the congregation as a gift.
  
• Session 2: In this session you will be matched with a sponsor and we will share a bible study together. This session also takes place on All Saints Sunday and will finish with a candlelight outside worship service through the church cemetery.
  
• Final Rite: The new member will once again be joined together with their sponsor and affirm their baptism before the congregation. The new member will be presented with a gift and a time of fellowship will take place after worship.
